These protozoan infections are very serious and a common cause of hatchling, young and adult bird deaths. These single cell parasites are present in most birds kept in captivity and become active and very destructive during the breeding season.  These infections can only be controlled and not eradicated with the use of drugs. The main sign's are watery/runny droppings in your adult birds which is a yellowish green color and at times contain undigested seed, dirty feathers around the vent (bottoms), molting problems and apathy.  It's best to treat your birds prior to the breeding season and usually again during breeding.  This product may be used as often as needed and will not harm hatchlings or young birds. 

Dose:  We use a 10% strength of Ronsivet mixed daily as the birds only source of water at a mixed rate of 2 "teaspoons" per gallon of water for 5 to 7 days.  If the infection persists, in extreme situations you may use this product for 14 to 18 days straight.  Discontinue use after 18 days for a minimum of 2 weeks before treating your birds again.  

Usually a 5 to 7 day treatment is sufficient to clear this infection up!

Can be mixed together with the liquid calcium, molting aid , Frisky Finches Feather Glow, Frisky Finches Breeding Aid and we suggest you mix it with "Amtyl if necessary" for your sick birds. (Mix each product only at the recommended doses per gallon)
